The National Eisteddfod comes to Llanrwst!

Plu Fabric in charcoal.

For the first and last time I have a national cultural festival right outside my front door, and with a few days to go, everyone is working hard to get ready. We have been watching the site develop and grow over the last few weeks, which this year stretches between our fields and our neighbours, just outside Llanrwst in the Conwy Valley.

I will be taking my work to the artisan tent for the first time, with lots of new prints to show, and I am very excited to be introducing the first pieces from my new range of textiles, which have been hand printed using linseed oil based ink, onto 100% Oeko-Tex certified linen. I have created a range of cushions in three beautiful colours, and linen wheat/lavender bags, all printed in my studio and professionally stitched together.

Its been so good to see the local community join together in celebrating our town, raising money and creating amazing art projects. Look out for the Llanrwst passports - I have been part of a group of artists who created the passport stamps that can be collected around the town, and stamped into the passport books made specially for our independently spirited town. Hope to see you there!
