In March there is a carpet of Celandines along the floor of the ancient sunken lane that runs by the edge of our fields, the bright yellow petals with their glossy sheen, open in the sunlight and fold closed at the end of the day. They make a golden pathway where the sunlight falls between the trees along the hedgerow.
One from a series - every month I make a print, capturing the seasonal changes of the year, and the wild plants and flowers from the hedgerows around my Welsh home that best illustrate each month.
This print is from a single block, carved in detail and printed in two colours - black and a colour that for me best reflects the colour of the season.
