Having kept bees for several years I enjoyed working on this commission for a Christmas card for the National Beekeeping Centre Wales.  

My design is a depiction of St Abigail, the patron saint of beekeepers. Also known as St Gobnait, she was born in Ireland in the C5th or C6th and the name Deborah, meaning honeybee, is the anglicised version of her name.
